Over the next few weeks, I will be bringing you a series of blogs featuring advice from real brides, whose weddings I filmed in 2016.
This week, summer bride, Lacey, talks about leaving it to the professionals (and bridesmaids) so that you can enjoy your wedding day...
"My advice to brides would be to stay calm throughout the whole planning process! Easier said than done, but when I look back at the months of planning, they were so much fun.
Listen to the advice given to you by the professionals you choose (photographers, videographer, florist, planners, if you're using one) they have done it hundreds of times before and really do know what they are doing; listening to them made our day run smoothly. Plus, I have the most amazing video and photos to look back on for memories and, I really believe it's because, I left it to them to choose the best places for pics and video shots.
Also, hand some jobs out to bridesmaids and family to take some of the weight off your shoulders. I know it's really hard not to want to do everything yourself to make sure it's perfect, but don't let it stress you out.
Last and not least enjoy your day!! Once that morning arrives and you're getting ready just be happy... Things go wrong at the last second (My transport for guests cancelled 2 hours before the church!!!) but, at this point there is nothing you can do so, have a glass of champagne with your bridesmaids to calm your nerves and enjoy the day!!
No feeling is more exciting than being all ready in your dress eager to walk down the isle to your hubby."
Lacey is so right; The professionals, you choose, to bring the wedding of your dreams to life, know their stuff. They want you to look back on your big day and remember how beautiful it was. Once all of the months of planning are done and it's the morning of your wedding, just enjoy it, as Lacey says. You'll never get those moments again, so treasure them.
