Over the next few weeks, I will be bringing you a series of blogs featuring advice from real life brides, whose weddings I filmed in 2016.
The wedding planning process can be incredibly stressful, trying to juggle budgets and suppliers (and grooms), so let me help ease you into it with some great tips from brides who have already lived through the experience!
This week, October bride, Louise gives you her advice on how to spend your money wisely…
“I would say that the most important thing to do is budget and buy things in order of importance and necessity. It's all too easy to spend money on the little touches and not have factored them into your budget, which later means possibly having to sacrifice something you really want.”
Great idea! Imagine not being able to have something because you got carried away in the early stages on planning. Budget and prioritise brides-to-be, then you can have the wedding of your dreams!
I remember, when I got married in 2012, my husband and I had a set budget to buy all of the essentials for our reception. We used this to get the flowers, table decorations and favours and then bought little extras with the money we had left at the end of each month after we'd paid our bills.

NEXT WEEK Shona, talks about the best way to organise your wedding planning to keep everything running smoothly and also keep the groom involved!
