Following on from last week's blog saving you money on wedding invitations, you now need a wedding venue to include on them!
Every couple wants their wedding to be personal and unique, so I've found some slightly unusual venues and offers in East Anglia and London for you to peruse.
1. Kensington Roof Gardens, London
You really have to see Kensington Roof Gardens to believe they exist. 100ft above London you can stroll through lush gardens, along little streams and admire the beautiful flamingoes. Even if you don't choose to get married here, it is still worth a visit (and a cold glass of fizz).
Their Spring 2016 wedding package currently includes a DJ for up to 4 hours, so if you're looking for a last minute venue, this one also includes entertainment!
There is a wedding showcase on Saturday 5 March 2016, so be sure to put your name on the guest list.
2. The Lawn, Essex
If you fancy yourselves as Lord and Lady of the manor for the day, this is the place for you! The Lawn is a Georgian mansion with gorgeous manicured grounds where you and your guests can feel like royalty for the day.
There are currently huge discounts on their website for late Spring and Summer 2016 weddings on selected dates with up to £2000 off venue hire.
3. Middle Temple, London
For a location steeped in history look no further than Middle Temple. With a choice of rooms in which to wed and gardens overlooking the Thames, this is a quintessential London wedding venue. At the moment, on select dates, there is 15% off hire on all last minute bookings up until the end of July!
4. South Farm, Cambridgeshire
For those of you who would prefer a more rustic wedding take a goosey gander at South Farm. With roots in Tudor times, this family run farm has a wide range of ceremony and reception venues to choose from, as well as rare-breed animals, Romany Caravans and even a Thai Tuk-Tuk! A wedding video shot here would be like no other.
Until the end of February, you could save up to 50% off your wedding, if you book select midweek dates in May, June and July 2016.
5. Ufford Park Hotel, Golf & Spa, Suffolk
If the groom is partial to a round of golf and the bride likes to indulge in a massage then this is the venue for you. Ufford Park is set in beautiful grounds and offers a range of packages starting from £36pp. You can even choose an Afternoon Tea Wedding, which promises traditional afternoon tea with a vintage twist!
All offers valid as of 18/02/16. Please check with the venue that they are still valid when you contact them.
When we got married in 2012, my husband and I decided to make our wedding planning as easy as possible, while still creating the wedding day that we wanted. We chose St. Anne's Church in Wandsworth as we could see it from our balcony, and also because it had the most amazing columned entrance, and Le Gothique, which was just up the road, as a reception venue where we'd been for a beer festival. We'd seen the courtyard lit up at night and knew that it would provide an atmospheric setting for our wedding breakfast.
